Privacy Policy
At VeloFlux ("we", "our", or "us"), we believe that privacy is a fundamental human right. This Privacy Policy explains how our desktop application and website collect, process, and protect your information.
1. Local-First Desktop Philosophy
VeloFlux is built from the ground up as a native desktop utility that operates locally on your machine. We do not track, monitor, log, or transmit:
- The URLs or video links you inspect, analyze, or download.
- The file names, video content, or media metadata saved to your storage drive.
- Your browser history, clipboard history, or network traffic contents.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect the absolute minimum information required to operate our commercial software and license system:
- License Verification Data: When activating VeloFlux PRO, your software client sends your license key, a cryptographic hash of your hardware ID (to enforce device activation limits), and app version to our licensing server.
- Purchase & Transaction Data: When purchasing a PRO license, transactions are securely processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Paddle collects your email address, country, postal code, and payment details. We receive only your email address and generated license key to facilitate support; we never see or store credit card or banking details.
- Optional Anonymous Diagnostics: If the application encounters an unhandled crash and you choose to submit a report, anonymous stack traces and OS versions are collected strictly for bug fixing.
3. Merchant of Record (Paddle)
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle manages user transactions, tax compliance, chargebacks, and refund requests according to their own Privacy Policy, accessible at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
4. Cookies and Web Tracking
Our official landing page does not use invasive third-party tracking cookies or marketing pixels. Essential session cookies may be utilized by Paddle during checkout to maintain your shopping cart.
5. Data Security
All communication between the VeloFlux desktop application, our website, and Paddle servers is secured using modern TLS 1.3 encryption. We employ industry-standard cryptographic techniques to verify license authenticity.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Regardless of your geographic location, you retain the right to:
- Request access to any personal data associated with your license email.
- Request the correction or complete deletion of your customer record.
- Deactivate linked devices from your active license at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our privacy team at support@veloflux.app.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect software improvements or legal compliance requirements. Any modifications will be posted here with an updated revision date.
